Media Language Analysis

 04 October LO/ to analyse a media text using Media Language This is a medium long shot, otherwise known as a cowboy shot. The reason i think they have used this shot type is to show the objects in his hands and to focus on them. He has a gun in his hands and gloves on, important information to see. If they had used a long shot, we wouldn't have picked up on these details as easily. We can connote from looking at his facial expression and body language that he is serious and has somewhere to be and something to do - we can tell this from the way he is dressed aswell, he is in less formal wear than usual, maybe trying to look casual or blend in, but also could be trying to hide from somebody? He is holding a gun and wearing gloves, connoting to us that he is going to kill someone or has something serious to take care of. Trailers and genres

12 January Trailers and genres L.O. to explore the different features of iMovie and experiment with different genre features i have chosen charlie st cloud, a romance/ drama movie and am changing it into a thriller / drama movie. To change the genre of my trailer, i re-arranged the clips and scenes that were used and changed the music from a bubbly warm song to more intense and fast music to set the scene. I also added titles and text to sugfgest a different storyline that would fit my genre.  WWW: i think for my first attempt it went pretty well and i changed the genre from what it was before.  EBI: i think next time i should give myself more time and choose a railer with less choppy and more available clips for my editing. i would also like if the storyline was more clear and if it was longer.  24 January SFX - L.O. to create a realistic green screened clip using imovie what is included under special effects?
